Boone began sharing his music on TikTok in 2021 and subsequently auditioned for American Idol. He withdrew from the competition but continued to gain popularity on TikTok, amassing 1.7 million followers. His talent was recognized by Imagine Dragons' frontman Dan Reynolds, who signed Boone to his record label, Night Street Records.
