Conocido también por los apodos fifti Cent, alcanzó la fama con los masivos éxitos comerciales de sus álbumes Get Rich or Die Tryin' y The Massacre, ambos multi-platinos y vendiendo alrededor de 16 millones de copias en todo el mundo. Curtis creció en un barrio conocido como South Jamaica, localizado en Queens, New York.
